Recent Teaching
As a Teaching Assistant, I assisted Dr. Jeffery Kohler for the following subjects during Spring 2017:
(1) Safety and Health in the Mineral Industries (MNG 497)
(3) Introduction to Mining Engineering (MNG 230)
Past Teaching
I was a teaching assistant for the following courses:
- Rock Mechanics (MNG 331): Instructor for lab sessions on 'Rock Mechanics' for a class of 18 students. Also conducted selected lectures. (Spring 2016)
- Drilling Laboratory (PNG 451): Instructor for three sections, each having 15 students. (Spring 2015)
Talks
- Spring 2016 @ SME Annual Conference, Phoenix, AZ: This talk gave an overview of the safety performance of coal mining industry in the United States and Queensland.
- Spring 2016 @ Penn State EME Department: This talk discussed Workplace Risk Assessment and Control Method (WRAC) for risk assessment in mining and aggregate industry.

Fall 2015 @ SRA Annual Meeting, Arlington, VA: This talk discussed a risk-based decision-making model for proppant selection in hydraulic fracturing industry.

Fall 2015 @ International Student Orientation: This talk discussed various transitional issues faced by new international students and shared various useful resources to cope up with the change.
Other Teaching Activities:
I was a training instructor at Coal India Limited.
- Conducted several training sessions on health and safety for over 200 employees discussing various safe operating procedures and safety issues related to them
- Conducted 4 workshops on compliance with ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
During my undergraduate education, I volunteered to teach Maths and English to middle school students. I helped students outside of the class with assignments and selected lectures covering specific topics.
